All three of the parties will include midnight viewing of the fireworks from the neighboring Magic Kingdom theme park.
Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration will be held in the hotel’s Ballroom of the Americas, which will feature sets inspired by films such as “Toy Story” (Think Andy’s room) and “The Incredibles.” There will be characters, face-painting, a boot camp with Sarge, dance hits from Radio Disney and a Disney-Pixar-inspired buffet, reports a post on the official Disney Parks Blog.
The Pixar Party hours will be 8 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.
A more traditional New Year’s event will be Disney Countdown to Midnight with live music, dancing, dining in the Fantasia Ballroom and that midnight flute of champagne. This party, designed for the 18-and-older set, runs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The third party, dubbed Down in New Orleans: A Disney New Year’s Eve Dining Experience, is inspired by the animated film “The Princess and the Frog” and held in the Grand Republic Ballroom. It will feature a jazz band and a vocalist with music from the movie.
Among the foods served: oyster beignets, smoked salmon mousse cones with caviar, herb-crusted Louisiana redfish, crayfish etouffee and braised short ribs.
Hours are 7 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.
On Tuesday, Disney will begin taking reservations for these occasions; however, prices are not posted on the blog item or included on Disney World’s official website. For reservations, call 407-939-3463.
