Couples looking to add a little extra magic to their wedding day have a new option to consider at Walt Disney World. The theme park has been helping create happily ever after for couples since 1991 with their Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons packages.

And now, the most recent addition to the Walt Disney World wedding venue lineup invites the couple and their guests inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom to exchange vows in front of its iconic centerpiece: the Tree of Life.

In case you’re not familiar with the Tree of Life, it is the centerpiece of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park (much like the Cinderella Castle is the landmark for Disney World’s Magic Kingdom). The tree stands 145-feet high and its trunk is made of 325 carvings of animals. At night, during the Tree of Life Awakenings performance, the tree “comes to life” with projections and colored lights.

As part of the new wedding venue package, the Tree of Life — in all its colorful glory — will be the backdrop to the couple’s wedding ceremony. The special event takes place after Disney’s Animal Kingdom is closed for the day, so the couple and their guests have their own private celebration. And with so much natural greenery around the venue, ceremony decor will be a breeze!

In addition to the Tree of Life, Disney recently introduced other new venues where couples can exchange their vows:

Disney Hollywood Studios’ Chinese Theater

Couples can get the red carpet treatment by having their ceremony in front of the stunning Chinese Theater right in the center of Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, couples can choose to have their wedding in a 750-acre pine forest overlooking Disney World’s Seven Seas Lagoon.

There are many other locations around the Walt Disney World Resort available for couples to create their own fairy tale wedding. The only limits are the imagination and the budget!
