These Disney Dudes Without Their Facial Hair May Make You A Little Uncomfortable

It’s difficult to dispute the power of great facial hair; simply comparing the differences between a well-kept beard and a poorly-kept beard is a sight to behold. Going from clean-faced to beautiful beard-faced is genuinely life-changing for some people.

So, how about the Disney characters? From Disney parents to Disney villains, and plenty of additional characters in between, there’s a lot of facial hair on the guys in Disney flicks.

In reality, the facial hair in Disney films is difficult to ignore, so seeing a side-by-side comparison of what these illustrators have done may make you feel uneasy. These Disney characters have had their heads shaved, and we’re not sure how we feel about it.

King Hubert from Sleeping Beauty

He’s much less powerful without his majestic mutton chops.

Maurice from Beauty and the Beast

Somehow, Maurice looks a little villainous without all that hair.

The Emperor from Mulan

Please, put it back.

Zeus from Hercules

He needs a bigger nose if he doesn’t have the beard.

Gepetto from Pinocchio

Shaving took 15 years off Gepetto’s face.

The King from Cinderella

Jafar from Aladdin

I guess Jafar’s facial hair wasn’t as iconic as previously believed.

King Triton from The Little Mermaid

This is not acceptable.

Merlin from The Sword in the Stone

He went from magician to nerd really quick, didn’t he?

Cassim from Aladdin and the King of Thieves

Still works.

The Grand Duke from Cinderella

This one might be the most uncomfortable of them all.

 The Sultan from Aladdin

Clearly, the beard is necessary for his pleasant disposition.

Yen Sid from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

Oh, this is good and creepy.

 Kashekim Nedakh from Atlantis

He doesn’t seem half as wise without his awesome beard.

It appears that the Disney men look far better with facial hair than without; let’s hope Disney never develops practice of animating people without moustaches and beards.
