Coco opens in US theaters in 3D on November 22!
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the preview of “Coco” will be presented as part of the Walt Disney Presents attraction, where the sneak peek will be accompanied by a display about the production of the film. Guests at Disney California Adventure park will get to see this advance look at scenes from the film in 3D with special in-theater effects at “It’s Tough to Be a Bug!” theater in “a bug’s land.” These special sneak peeks are set to begin November 3.
Beginning this weekend at Disney California Adventure Park, families and friends are also invited to discover Plaza de la Familia, an all-new festivity at Paradise Gardens that celebrates the Disney•Pixar film “Coco” and the everlasting bonds of family. Plaza de la Familia features daily performances of “A Musical Celebration of ‘Coco,’” “The World of ‘Coco’” exhibit, authentic Mariachi music on the bandstand, a Tree of Life interactive photo location, face painting and delicious foods, all inspired by the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos.
In Disney•Pixar’s “Coco,” Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician, despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector, and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
