Beginning this weekend at Disney California Adventure Park, families and friends are also invited to discover Plaza de la Familia, an all-new festivity at Paradise Gardens that celebrates the Disney•Pixar film “Coco” and the everlasting bonds of family. Plaza de la Familia features daily performances of “A Musical Celebration of ‘Coco,’” “The World of ‘Coco’” exhibit, authentic Mariachi music on the bandstand, a Tree of Life interactive photo location, face painting and delicious foods, all inspired by the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos.
In Disney•Pixar’s “Coco,” Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician, despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector, and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
