When the iconic ride reopens at Disneyland park on July 16 and the upgrades are completed later this summer at Magic Kingdom park, we’ll once again traverse the world’s most “treacherous” rivers along the world-famous Jungle Cruise!
Today, I’m thrilled to announce that explorers from all around the world will be able to digitally join everyone on the Jungle Cruise and beyond. On July 24, tune in to the Disney Parks Blog for a unique live broadcast showcasing the World Premiere of Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” Red Carpet event presented from Disneyland Park. That’s right, the Jungle Cruise will take a foray into unknown territory — a live stream!*
When Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” officially debuts on July 30, you’ll be able to join fan favorites Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt for a once-in-a-lifetime trip down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon rainforest, where she hires Frank’s dubious services to pilot her downriver aboard La Quila, his ramshackle-but-adorable canoe. Lily is motivated to discover an ancient tree with unrivaled healing properties, with the potential to transform the course of medicine. Thrown together on this epic adventure, the odd pair confronts a slew of perils and mysterious powers hiding in the lush rainforest’s deceiving beauty. But when the mysteries of the lost tree are revealed, the stakes for Lily and Frank become even higher, and their fate—and that of humanity—hangs in the balance.
See Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” in theaters or order it on Disney+ with Premier Access on July 30, 2021. Disney+ subscription and additional fee required.
