Funko and Disney have collaborated on a series of Pop figurines to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, just like they did for Disneyland’s 65th anniversary. The Magic Kingdom opened its doors on October 1st, 1971, so the celebration is a little late, but it will endure a long time.
Pop Town of Mickey Mouse and Cinderella’s Castle (but it’s not Cinderella’s Castle), Pop Rides of Mickey Mouse on the Space Mountain attraction and Goofy on the Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction, and a Pop figure of the Pirates of the Caribbean Prison Dog with keys are all part of the common Walt Disney World 50th anniversary collection of Funko Pops. All of these Disney World Funko Pops are now available for pre-order at Amazon. In terms of exclusives, the Queen in Teacup is now available at Target.
gold Mickey Mouse with Cinderella’s Castle Funko Pop will be unique to Disney Parks, but it will most likely be available online at shopDisney in the near future. During the Disneyland opening, a similar event occurred with Walt Disney and Sleeping Beauty Castle Pop Town.
As previously stated, Disney’s 50th anniversary celebration for Walt Disney World will run a long time – in fact, it will span 18 months. Indeed, Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration will go through 2023, with a slew of activities planned throughout the parks. You can follow along with the events right here
