    Instructions
    1. Beat butter brown and powdered sugar together in a large bowl of electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 4 to 5 minutes.
    2. Add eggs and vanilla extract, beating until very well combined, about 2 minutes more.
    3. Whisk together whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl.
    4. Slowly add flour mixture to butter mixture, mixing just until combined.
    5. Add chocolate chips and mix just until combined. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour.
    6. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
    7. Scoop dough by the tablespoon onto prepared cookie sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake 9 to12 minutes or until golden brown.
