Steak Baguette Sandwich with Garlic Herb Butter – Be Our Guest – Magic Kingdom
Sprinkle each steak with Kosher salt. Cover with plastic wrap or place in large freezer bags and set in fridge to marinate 1 hour.
While steaks are marinating, make herb butter. Place softened butter into a small bowl. Add in the teaspoon of basil and mix well. Finely chop the garlic clove and mix in. Set aside.
Remove steaks from fridge and rinse under cold water to remove excess salt. Sprinkle both sides with steak seasoning. Preheat griddle or pan. Place a dollop of the herb butter on the griddle and spread around. Place steaks on top of the melted butter and cook on both sides until browned.
While the steaks are cooking, you can prepare the baguettes. Estimate the length of the steaks and cut a slice of bread for each sandwich. Then cut the bread lengthwise down the middle. Open them flat and spread the herb butter on each. Bake face-up on a foil-lined baking sheet at 400 degrees for 4 to 5 minutes.
To assemble, take one of the toasted baguette halves, top with greens and diced tomato (optional). Now lay a steak over the greens and top with the remaining baguette half. Do this for each sandwich.
