A power outage was reported at Universal’s Islands of Adventure and portions of Universal CityWalk on Saturday afternoon, a Universal Orlando spokesman said.
Spokesman Tom Schroder said the outage — which occurred close to 6 p.m. — was weather-related. He said the power was fully restored shortly after 8 p.m.
The Orlando Fire Department assisted park-goers in three or four attractions who were stuck in the rides when the electricity went off, Schroder said.
Riders were removed from the rides with no injuries, he added.
Tim Trudell, a spokesman for the Orlando Utilities Commission confirmed the outage, but said the problem was on the park’s side and it wasn’t affecting other OUC customers.
The park remained open for the remainder of the evening.
