Disney World wants you to tweet in your complaints

With nearly 42 square miles of rides and attractions, Walt Disney World can be quite overwhelming for many guests. After successfully using Twitter to assist guests at Disneyland for a number of years, Guest Services at Walt Disney World recently launched a new Twitter account designed to help assist guests with questions, basic information, and any other issues that might arise while they’re at the “Vacation Kingdom of the World.”

The new twitter account, WDW Today, is in addition to the others that tweet hours, history, trivia and other items. While those are more focused on keeping fans engaged while they’re on vacation or at home, the new one is specifically designed as a point of contact between vacationing guests and guest relations.

The new Disney account launches on the cusp of a similar social media initiative at Universal Orlando Resort, a campaign that tracks guests and potential guest engagement via the hashtag #AskUniversal.

The Walt Disney World version was initially setup earlier this year but wasn’t rolled out into its full functioning form until this summer. Disney officially announced the new account last week.

The easiest way to find information via the new account is to follow and then ask for the information you are seeking. The account will be manned during regular park hours.
