Disney’s Magic Kingdom turns away guests due to crowds

Mickey and Minnie apparently had too many guests for their New Year’s Eve celebration.

A tweet by Walt Disney World on Monday announced it was turning away guests from its Magic Kingdom Park in Florida because the theme park was near capacity.

Business Insider reported that, at 1 p.m. on Monday, there was a three-hour wait to ride Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain roller coasters.

The park did not stay closed all day Monday. Around 5:15 p.m., the Twitter account announced that Magic Kingdom had reopened to all guests.
