Aloha from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, where guests can enjoy a South Pacific-themed getaway, while staying just a quick monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park. A nightly luau, tranquil water views, leis and other unique offerings help make this resort a favorite of many. And now there’s something new to enjoy; a nighttime torch lighting ceremony, complete with a fire twirler!
This ceremony takes place five times a week, on Tuesday through Saturday nights, bringing the spirit of Polynesia to life for onlookers. One special family is selected each evening to assist. See for yourself in this video.
The torch lighting ceremony returned in November after being on hiatus while the resort was reimagined to include redesigned lobby and pool areas, new eateries Pineapple Lanai and Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, an exciting Children’s Activity Center called Lilo’s Playhouse, and more. Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, the newest Disney Vacation Club Resort, also opened nearby earlier this year, offering 360 Deluxe Villas and 20 over-the-water Bungalows.
Aloha!
