"The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror"

Picture, if you will, the abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel. But if you think you know what happens, think again. "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" is now random - the experience is horrifyingly new, and your fear is completely unpredictable because now the Tower is in control. Your elevator will shoot you up, and it will plummet down...what is going to happen? When? How many times? Only the Tower knows. Fear has always had many faces. Now you can come meet them one at a time.

When to go - As soon as the parks opens or tight before closing.  If you can't do it then try to go during the parades.

Fun Facts:

When the Tower of Terror was being built, it was struck by lightning.

The break room for the Tower of Terror is actually located between the two drop shafts, around the third floor. This means you can hear the screams perfectly as you eat, and the T.V. shakes whenever one of the unit drops. Also, there are service hallways between the break rooms and the shafts, with emergency doors that open into the shafts. If you stand in these halls when an elevator drops, you can see the whole wall bend outward from the compressed air in the dropshaft.

In the Tower of Terror, all of the ramps and walkways are tilted at a 2-4 degree angle. The combination of mist (when you first are walking up), the lighting and the tilt, cause you to become disorientated. and also heighten the thrill of the ride.

At 199 feet tall, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is Walt Disney World's tallest theme park attraction. This is because the FAA would require unsightly tower lighting at 200 feet.

HIDDEN MICKEYS:

There are balconies with stone-like railings. There is a row of Mickeys underneath one of the windows (all of the other windows have a decorative bas relief that resembles a fish).

As you approach the elevators that take you upstairs, a Cast Member is stationed at a sort of podium. On this podium is a desk lamp. In the center of the desk lamp on the stem, you will see definite mouse ears.

There is a Mickey in the printed word "Mickey Mouse." When you enter the library, there is a piece of music that is a old Disney song. In each library there is a desk area in the bookcase with sheet music decopagued onto it. In the right library it is "The Marriage of Mickey Mouse" and in the left it is "What, No Mickey Mouse," where it is also covered by a trumpet. The music, "What, No Mickey Mouse?" was an old 1930s piece from a cartoon short. It is on a CD called "Tunes from the Toons".

The line snakes along and eventually splits. If you go straight, not right, you will pass a eerie image on the brick wall to your left. It is a water stain that looks strangely like Mickey!
